Our congregation desires to reflect the light of Christ to our community and around the world.

Tara Johnson wrote the song Dayspring for our congregation. The words describe what Jesus, the Dayspring has done for us and why we want to share this with others.

Verse 1

I once was stumbling in the dark

Searching for a purpose in my life.

I tried to make it on my own,

But I failed, now I know why.

Just like a sunrise

Bursting forth into a darkened night,

Jesus came

And He changed my life.

“Through the tender mercy of our God;
whereby the dayspring from on high has visited us,
to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
 to guide our feet into the way of peace”
Luke 1:78-79

Our goal is to establish a sustainable New Testament church.

This church will be in fellowship with the churches of the American Baptist Association and the State Association of Missionary Baptist Churches of Arkansas.

Chorus

Dayspring, shine on us

Make our hearts Your own;

In ev’ry season we’ll follow,

It’s You we want to know.

The world around us

Is crying for an answer to the pain

Help us to show them

You bring a new day, Dayspring

Verse 2

The road of love is often hard,

It’s filled with sacrifice and pain.

This world is dying all around

But who will show just what they have to gain?

Christ died to save us

He gave of Himself so we might live

No more excuses,

What can we give?

Chorus

Dayspring, shine on us

Make our hearts Your own;

In ev’ry season we’ll follow,

It’s You we want to know.

The world around us

Is crying for an answer to the pain

Help us to show them

You bring a new day, Dayspring
